This full-suspension bike features a robust and lightweight alloy frame, 170mm-travel suspension front and rear and a Shimano STEPS EP8 electric drive system. This setup is enhanced by a Shimano Deore 12-Speed groupset with a wide-ranging 10-51 Tooth cassette and powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Also, it rolls fast and stable upon Sun Ringle Duroc wheels (29" front / 27.5" rear) wrapped in Maxxis Assegai and High Roller II Tubeless Ready tyres. Versatile, Agile and Fast Enduro E-Bike Since 2009 the Nukeproof Mega has been on a journey of constant development. From iteration to iteration, small incremental improvements gradually add up to become today’s thoroughbred Enduro race bike: The Mega V4. 2021 has been a massive year for Nukeproof's design team with the launch of several new platforms already. All things considered; you could forgive the team for resting on their laurels. Bike design and technology must move fast to keep up with the evolving demands of modern riders. If you don’t keep up, then you get left behind. Let's address the elephant in the room - there is a notable absence in Nukeproof's current range, a bike with an engine. Nukeproof's top priority was to partner with the right specialist and chose a brand that could offer leading-edge technology to help Nukeproof create competitive products whilst having the infrastructure in place to support customers during ownership. Shimano STEPS EP8 Electric Motor Drive So, when Shimano approached Nukeproof over two years ago with their latest STEPS EP8 system motor technology, they knew that the time had come. Development of the Mega V4 was about to start, presenting the perfect pairing for their first foray into E-Bikes. Whilst all Nukeproof bikes have been designed with the focus on descending performance, no new Nukeproof has had more to live up in this area, than the Mega V4. Introducing the Megawatt: A Mega V4 with an engine. Designed so you can maximise the amount of time spent descending by getting you back to the top faster, again and again (and again). 29" Front and 27.5" Rear Mixed Wheel Size Platform The Megawatt Shares the race-proven geometry of the Nukeproof Mega, but in an all-new mixed wheel size platform. A 29” wheel up front to maximise rolling efficiency with a 27.5” wheel out back. This allows for the bike to run shorter chainstays and ensure the Megawatt whips around even the tightest of Alpine trail whilst stays stable attacking any rough terrain. The rear chainstays also benefit from 3D moulded chain guard to keep the frame protected and running quiet allowing you to concentrate on the trail ahead. The Megawatt is offered in Size Small through to XXL and shares Nukeproof’s “saddle offset” philosophy with the Mega. Steeper seat angles offered on larger sizes to optimise the riding position and maximise comfort and efficiency. Please Note: Due to severe delays in the bicycle supply chain, we have been forced to make some alterations to the specification of the component parts supplied with this bicycle. As a result, the specification may differ from those shown in the images. Please refer to the specification table for accurate information.
